With the ongoing work-from-home arrangements due to the Covid-19 lockdown, there has been tremendous and dramatic growth of interest between February and March on working-from-home skills for Asia Pacific users in the LinkedIn platform.
In particular, these include over 5000 times interest on telecommuting and creating virtual teams. Also, there were over 3,000 interest in skills on virtual collaboration, collaboration solutions and using the Zoom videoconferencing tool.
This was revealed during a April 17 LinkedIn webinar with author and motivational speaker Penny Bongato and LinkedIn APAC regional head Atul Harkisanka.
With time spent viewing online materials in LinkedIn Learning Content over 63%, LinkedIn has seen key trends where employees are turning to online learning in order to adapt and stay productive in the “new normal,” while learners look for a variety of content as upskilling remains critical.
To note, engagement is up across many course topics other than working remotely (+7536%). In particular, this includes time management while working from home (+5320%).
Other top course topics include leading at a distance (3008%), Microsoft teams essential training (+376%), mindfulness practices (+271%), strategic thinking (+7%) productivity tips and finding a productive mindset (+3708%), Excel essential training primarily through Office 365 (+62%), learning Zoom (+2605%) and learning Python (+8%).
Moreover, other top course topics include certificate preparation for Project Management Professional (PMP), Excel 2016 essential training, Microsoft teams tips/tricks, project management foundations, managing stress for positive change, managing virtual teams, 6 morning habits of high performers, using LinkedIn Learning, executive presence on videoconference calls and Python essential training.
Globally, the top courses for LinkedIn users include remote work foundations, building resilience, Microsoft tips and tricks, as well as time management and working from home, developing resourcefulness, and learning Skype
Social learning has also increased significantly as learners look to each other for help, with 131% increase in joining learning groups.
